Some posting guidelines

We suggest posting only first names, and the initial of the last name if needed.

We do not want to post full names where bad people can find and use them.

It is OK to post leader's last names, but not Cub Scouts last names.

It's perfectly reasonable to caption a picture as "Danny and John P. with Mr. Sommer."

Only essential, leader's Email addresses will be posted.

Several web programs will visit our site, some will try to harvest email addresses to enable them to sell something. We'll try to prevent that.

If you need access to post pictures or events, let us know.

Contact the webmaster by using the Web Contact Form, or email me directly if you know the webmaster's email.

Pack 3699 = Fun

Who is Pack 3699?

    Pack 3699 is several things:

  • A group of boys, with the common goal of learning the ways of Akela and to be of service to the community
  • Families of these Cub Scouts, working together, within Cub Scouting, to allow the Cub Scouts to grow and learn
  • Community resources
  • Local churches, community groups, and businesses interested in Scouting
  • Where is Pack 3699?

      Pack Location

  • Cub Pack 3699 is designed for Cub Scouts in Palos Park and Orland Park.

  • What do we have planned?

  • The line above is a link to our calendar. In the calendar, you can click on categories just below the calendar, and narrow the calendar to just show "Den 8" or just show the "Pack Activities" Then you can go back to " *all* " to see everything that is going on. When you view all, events have a color dot indicating which category they belong to.
  • If you are really tech savvy, the calendar has an RSS feed as an output, and events can be downloaded in iCalendar or vCalendar format. Remember, if you are posting to the calendar, no last names, no email addresses, no private street addresses.
  • Members and Non-members can sign our Guestbook.

  • We invite comments about our pack. Comments can come from Community leaders, or any real person. To make sure no automated bots try to post, you will have to type a "keyword" to match the letters presented.
  • See Cub Scouts in Action

  • Pictures will be posted in groups, called "Galleries."
  • Scouts and leaders (with a password) can post photos, and even create new galleries.
  • Galleries have a slideshow feature.
  • If you are the one posting the pictures, please limit your pictures to about 1000 pixels across or less. If you are puzzled about how to do this, contact us.
  • What did we do?

  • Here's a place for news about past happenings and future events.
  • This is a great place to post the results from a completed event, so everyone can see.
